Mobile Home Mirage & Avantgarde, Italy

Lunawood ThermoWood® cladding profiles were applied in the Avantgarde Mobile Home developed by CrippaConcept, a prefabricated residential unit designed for mobility and long-term use in Mediterranean environments. Completed in 2019 in Italy, the project demonstrates the use of lightweight façade materials in movable housing systems where transportability and structural efficiency are key design requirements.

In this application, Luna UTV 19 × 140 profiles were specified as exterior cladding to provide a durable and visually consistent façade while maintaining a low overall building weight. The reduced mass of the thermally modified wood supports ease of transport and installation, making it suitable for mobile and modular structures that may be relocated over time.

Sable Hills Estate, South Africa

Lunawood ThermoWood® cladding profiles were applied in a modern villa located in Sable Hills Estate, South Africa, designed by Anthrop Architects. In this project, thermally modified wood was installed as cladding for the garage door, demonstrating the use of lightweight wood components in movable façade elements. The thermal modification process produces a dimensionally stable and durable material, allowing the garage door system to operate reliably while maintaining a consistent exterior appearance.
