Lunawood ThermoWood® exterior cladding was applied in Ogmios City Public Space, an urban redevelopment project designed by DO Architects and located in Vilnius, Lithuania.

Completed in 2018, the project transformed a former Soviet-era military base into a mixed-use urban district intended to reconnect city life with nature and create an inclusive public environment for residents and visitors. The redevelopment process began in 2007 and included an extensive study of Vilnius and its historic urban fabric to establish a contemporary space that reflects local identity while supporting long-term urban use.

For the building façades across the development, thermally modified wood was specified as exterior cladding in combination with grey-painted surfaces to create a consistent architectural language throughout the district. The stained Lunawood ThermoWood® elements introduce natural texture and warmth into the urban environment while supporting durability and dimensional stability in exterior applications. This material strategy contributes to a cohesive visual identity across retail, public, and recreational spaces within the development.
