The client of the project is a young Internet finance company. The main idea of the company is derived from "let finance have temperature". The company CEO emphasizes that making a simple, transparent and equal office space is the precondition given at the beginning of the design. Therefore, the concept of the design emphasizes the status of equality and freedom, to remove traditional cubicles and the sense of containment.
The design of the CAA / Águeda Arts Center responds to the challenge of creating a solution well adapted to the context (not only physical but also cultural, economic and political) while creating a world-class cultural platform. A rational approach to the program was translated into a system designed to maximize functionality.
Root Bench is the reinterpretation of winning proposal in Hangang Art Competition. This is circle-shaped public furniture with diameter of 30m, installed in grass, which shows dynamic shape of root spreading throughout the park. It provides visual stimulus creating strong contrast to the background of spacious outdoor park. And people can take a rest with it while sitting and leaning on its different height. The main concept continued from the winning proposal is that the organic shape sprawling out from the center creates spatial connectivity.
Three years ago, Truong An Architecture received the offer for designing a new house for Artist Hoang Tuong Do, a Vietnamese well-known artist. After many years of living and working in downtown Saigon - a stuffy, chaotic metropolis (not only in architecture), they wanted to move to the outskirts of Saigon for fresh atmosphere and space for art creation. The site was separated from the flowerous and shady road by a canal connecting to Saigon River.
Indigo is an ecological modular building concept. Positioned between “product” and “architecture”, this project explores how “mass-customized” ecological building could provide healthier homes for all of us, while avoiding one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead it allows flexibility for dwellers and their context and lifestyle by inviting them to join the design process. Therefore, not one Indigo is the same.
The project is located on the ground floor of Chengdu Shangri-La Hotel with a street frontage.There are two categories with a single kitchen,one is for the Japanese-style barbecue Robatayaki, the other is for Kaiseki which is a traditional Japanese meal brought in courses. Referring two different traditional typology of Japanese houses, civilian’s house and tea-room of Samurai, we extracted characteristic elements and expanded them multiple-layered, so to create an enduring space without being consumed.
Inducing a surreal physical experience through minimal maneuvers, buildings with smooth concrete panels and simple geometric volumes instinctively hint at the work of Japanese architect Tadao Ando. At an ongoing exhibition at the Centre Pompidou, photographs of the headquarters of Fabrica, Ando's first European commission in 1992, are showcased. Located near the city of Treviso, the building was an old villa restored to become a thriving creative research center.

Tian Han is the lyricist of Chinese national anthem, the pioneer and principal founder of the development of Chinese modern drama art. On Mr. Tian's 120th birthday, the local government built a cultural park of integrating display, drama performance and local drama training in his hometown of orchard town, Changsha, in order to commemorate Mr. Tian's great artistic achievements and unyielding spirit.
The design concept of the building for the Association of the Northwest German Textile and Garment Industry aims to provide all employees with a view of the picturesque landscape to the north and to welcome those arriving from the south with a strong textile image. The elongated structure is enclosed on three sides by a completely closed brick facade. The volume closed to the east, south, and west and open to the north is the basis for an energy-optimized office building.
The Chinese Academy of Art (CAA) in Hangzhou has two campuses. One is in the city center, near West Lake, and a new larger campus is in the outskirts. The presence of the architect Wang Shu is ubiquitous on the new campus: most of its buildings were designed by him. When we started on this work, he had not yet received the 2012 Pritzker Prize. The help that we received from both of him and his architect wife Lu Wenyu during the early stages of our work – and even today -, were and continue to be fundamental.

However, as an important supporting part of the artificial island of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Artificial Island Port Project is a necessary facility for the traffic opening of bridge and an integral part of the magnificent construction of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.
Although from afar it seems one-leveled, this house – which sits on a platform that rises 60cm above ground level - has another level dug underground.
The derelict construction was found on an unremarkable neighbourhood, hiding a deep and generous garden; the proud pitched roof distinguished the otherwise trivial architecture.
Since all of the Arghavan complex units are owned by the members of a particular family, the interior design was done using a specific physical plan. These spaces consisted of 4 separate units with 3 units of 170 meters and a duplex unit, a hall for celebrations and parties with storage rooms and facilities in the first basement, and a swimming pool and gym in the -2floor. In addition to creating an intimate environment, special attention was paid to green space in order to gather together all members of the family.
Designed for an older couple who travel frequently, this coastal home accommodates visiting grandchildren and family as well as being a private, easily maintained haven between adventures. Building form was driven by site conditions and the need for accessibility; the resulting dynamic façade and dramatic internal volumes belie its liveability.
