QuadroDesign manufactures stainless steel faucets and accessories, with sustainability informing decisions across materials, production systems, product development, supply chain, manufacturing, distribution, and collaborations with external design studios.
QuadroDesign’s FFQT series was selected by Formafantasma for the tap and faucet fittings in the founders’ private apartment in Milan. Designed by Simone Farresin and Andrea Trimarchi, the residence translates the studio’s research-based design methodology into a domestic environment.
Operating between Milan and Rotterdam, Formafantasma is known for its work on materials, sustainability, and production processes, with projects included in the permanent collections of institutions including the MoMA, V&A, Stedelijk Museum, and the MET.

The 100 m² apartment was entirely designed by the duo and follows a functional and restrained material approach. Selected finishes, a controlled palette, and continuity between architectural elements and furnishings define the interiors, with design decisions guided by use, maintenance, and material consistency.
The living area is composed of simple volumes, cherrywood surfaces, and a layout organized around clear proportions and durable materials.

The kitchen, produced by Very Simple Kitchen, is constructed entirely in brushed stainless steel and designed as a compact functional block intended for long-term use and straightforward maintenance. Within this space, the FFQT collection by QuadroDesign is installed as the primary mixer, accompanied by a separate remote control for filtered water. Manufactured in AISI 316L stainless steel, the fittings align with the material palette of the project and its emphasis on durable, high-performance materials.
The FFQT collection was developed through a collaboration between Formafantasma and QuadroDesign, allowing the fittings to integrate directly with the broader design language of the apartment. The dedicated filtered water control separates water management functions while preserving the visual clarity of the kitchen island.

In the bathrooms, the FFQT collection is applied alongside volcanic lava tile surfaces by ExCinere. The material palette continues the same logic established in the kitchen, prioritizing durability, material consistency, and reduced formal expression. The stainless steel fittings contribute to continuity across the project, both visually and functionally, through a restrained composition of robust materials and simplified components.

Throughout the residence, QuadroDesign’s FFQT series is used as an integrated architectural element rather than a decorative addition, supporting the project’s emphasis on precise material selection, functional performance, and long-term use.
