Impact Acoustic is a Swiss manufacturer of acoustic solutions and materials engineered for performance and circular design. They present Roma, a graphic acoustic wall covering from the ARCHISONIC® Graphic range. A large-format flat panel printed with a high-resolution fluted pattern, Roma offers a contemporary interpretation of classical Palladian architecture—translating the play of light, shadow, and rhythm found in historic colonnaded facades into a flat acoustic surface.
Design and Form
Roma's printed pattern is developed in-house from high-resolution 3D-rendered imagery, using light and shadow to create the illusion of depth and three-dimensionality on a 12 mm flat panel surface. The result is a visually volumetric wall covering that references the symmetry and grandeur of ancient Roman and Greek architecture without requiring physical relief or structural depth. Each panel measures 1200 x 2800 mm and assembles without glue, simplifying installation and future removal.
Material and Color
The panel is fabricated from ARCHISONIC® Felt—100% PET with a minimum 60% post-consumer content, equivalent to 53 recycled plastic bottles per square meter. It is Cradle to Cradle Certified®, GREENGUARD Gold certified, and qualifies for LEED v4 VOC emission credits. Roma is available in 24 colors from the ARCHISONIC® Graphic palette, a range developed specifically for the printed wall covering collection and drawn from the wider Riftcut color family—including Almond, Flax, Wheat, Shadow, Pigeon, Rose, Sage, Aloe, and Denim tones, plus Designer White. Physical samples are recommended for color verification.
Acoustic Performance
At 12 mm thickness with no air gap, the panel achieves αw = 0.30 per DIN ISO 11654. Performance increases substantially with air gap: at 24 mm thickness, αw rises from 0.55 with no air gap to 0.95 at 200 mm or greater.
