Porcelain Stoneware at Spa Restoration | Casalgrande Padana

Casalgrande Padana produces advanced ceramic materials, developing innovative, ecological solutions that can meet diverse creative and technological requirements. The Ironmonger Row Baths restoration project by Sauna 360 UK chose an extensive range of Casalgrande Padana's porcelain stoneware collections to create an expressive design, with carefully studied combinations of colors and finishes.

Floor tiles: Amazzonia Dragon Brown - Walls: Onici Onice Arancio

Originally built in the 1930s, the complex included a swimming pool with a Turkish bath, hot rooms, and a cold plunge pool in the basement. Sauna 360 UK was entrusted with the restoration of the Spa, redesigning the spaces and creating new atmospheres, after a fire destroyed part of the building in 2022. Casalgrande Padana porcelain tiles were chosen for both the floors and the walls: Amazzonia Dragon Brown, in the 60x60 cm size, was used for the floors, while the walls were tiled with the Marmoker collection, in the colours Birimbau, Caribbean Green, Night Storm, and Statuario Grigio, and the Onici collection, in the colour Onice Arancio, in the sizes 60x120 cm and 120x278 cm.

Juniper Sauna - Floor: Amazzonia Dragon Brown

The design introduced a contemporary area, incorporating a juniper sauna with automatic infusion and infrared panels, a Finnish sauna with a backlit salt wall, and a salt inhalation steam room. In the same area, an aroma steam room features under-bench lighting. Completing this central area are two showers with warm and cool programs using essences, and a long recliner bench.

In the traditional area, there is a sequence of hot rooms with a gradually increasing temperature as guests move inwards, all covered with large-format porcelain tiles. The traditional spa area also showcases two heated massage slabs and benching with heated footrests under the backlit wall.
