vGHcompany shared with us their competition entry for Mobilicity Tirana, which won an honorable mention. Their project outlines a utopia, which is based on the man who fell into one’s own trap: the notion of time. The rings showing the wheels of a watch in which each mean of conveyance (train, car, bike) are the hands covering the dial. Always faster, always moving, this is what the modern mankind demands today from this means of conveyance. Waiting, delay and cancellation are the travellers’ anxiety. These news demands force the conveyance architecture to offer to their travellers impersonal places where the notion of the time is present from the very moment the doors are pushed. The new airports and train stations are emblematic of this notion of speed, where every single second is precious.
