The goal of circularity is to reduce the environmental impact of current production and consumption models through the efficient use of material resources and waste reduction. But how can this idea actually be implemented in cities?
Addressing environmental challenges in cities by implementing circular economy practices is crucial. One approach is to promote waste recovery and recycling rather than disposal, for instance, by developing infrastructure and programs to collect and process waste efficiently while encouraging the use of recycled materials in construction. Another strategy involves retrofitting buildings to be energy-efficient and encouraging the integration of renewable energy systems.
