Since 2011, the Aromeiazero Institute has been promoting the "Bike Parada não Rola" (A Stationary Bike Doesn't Roll) campaign. The initiative partners with residential building managers to identify abandoned bicycles in condominium bike racks.
The NGO's next step is to collect the bikes and restore them for use in its social projects. Key programs include the Viver de Bike course, which focuses on generating income through cycling for bike tourism and logistics professionals, as well as aspiring entrepreneurs, and Rodinha Zero, which teaches children to ride independently and safely without training wheels.
