Spatial design now represents a commitment to the natural environment and, consequently, to improving quality of life.
Driven by the environmental crisis, the search for and study of biomaterials has intensified in an effort to find alternatives that reduce the ecological footprint that the design and architecture sectors have carried for decades. The challenge lies in developing alternative materials for construction systems while promoting renewable resources that improve spatial conditions to guarantee occupant comfort. Residential architecture is of particular interest in this regard, due to the urgent need to meet housing demands resulting from population growth and shifting urban dynamics.
