Provincia Festival aims to create an open space for dialogue and the exhibition of civic interest topics, emphasizing responsible participation in provincial architectural development.
Tuxtla Gutiérrez is a place that lacks high-quality urban space, suffering from a lack of planning and vision regarding the impact of projects. Additionally, the drain of local talent is constant, driven by a combination of factors that foster the belief that success can only be achieved in large cities with large-scale projects. We want to reaffirm the idea that architecture is everywhere, and that the success of the profession lies in designing for everyone, regardless of gender, social status, or economic background.

Urban Space Intervention Competition
The competition calls for proposals for the design of a temporary pavilion that—with social, environmental, and creative responsibility—facilitates dialogue and fosters an optimal environment for the development of ideas, comments, complaints, or any matter that enables active social participation based on the established theme.
The Pavilion will be one of the featured activities within the Provincia Architecture and City Festival. It is important that it is not only a playful element, but that it also generates a dynamic interaction that integrates with the daily life of the city. It will host several open forums and serve as a meeting point for key figures.
This festival is primarily aimed at architecture students, while also extending an invitation to professionals and citizens interested in building the city.

This year's call focused on a temporary pavilion that proposed a space for social gathering, with the intention of experiencing the daily spaces of Tuxtla Gutiérrez through profound personal reflection.
The jury, composed of architect Juan Carral O’Gorman, architect Alejandro Madero, and Diego Emilio Cuesy Edgar, reviewed the proposals individually and selected the best entries based on their criteria. On March 12, the advantages and disadvantages of each individual selection were discussed, and a group consensus was reached. During the meeting, it was decided to award the following proposals:
