Mexican women architects pushing the boundaries of the profession

By definition, architecture is the art and technique of planning, designing, constructing, and modifying the human habitat. However, my own professional career has constantly forced me to confront the same question: if you are an architect and you don't design, are you still an architect?

My experience has shown me that the answer is a resounding yes. The training received in school does not limit you to a single path; rather, a passion for architecture extends the boundaries of a profession that demands engagement from diverse fields.

As an architect, I have experienced architecture as a designer behind a screen, during sleepless nights pulling a project together on deadline, through intense days under the sun facing the challenge of building a major high-rise from foundation to final finish as a site supervisor, and in coordinating key events that brought together the world's leading voices to discuss architecture, urbanism, and the city.
