The publication 'Mercedes: Urban Experience' synthesizes the results achieved in the "Ciudades para Armar" (Cities to Assemble) course taught within the Architecture program at the University of Buenos Aires.
It proposes viewing intermediate cities as a fulcrum for promoting greater regional balance. While they possess a wealth of institutions and businesses, as well as infrastructure and connections that others lack, they require the design of decentralization policies, capitalizing on the higher relative growth of these cities observed over the last half-century compared to large urban centers.
