The 9th International Festival of Architecture and Urbanism Architecture Week Prague 2015 will take place in the Convent of St. George at the Prague Castle and other locations in Prague from August 17 to October 18, 2015. It is organized by the company Czech Architecture Week in cooperation with the Prague Castle Administration. The festival will again be held under the patronage of the Czech President, Mr. Miloš Zeman.

La Biennale di Venezia has launched a call for proposals for the Collateral Events of 2016. Searching for original exhibitions, installations and/or symposiums that will run alongside the 15th International Architecture Exhibition, the call is restricted to non-profit public or private institutions. All proposals must be "meaningful in relation" to the Exhibition's theme. Selection will be contingent on the approval of Artistic Director Alejandro Aravena and the Board of the Biennale. All Collateral Events will be autonomously organized outside the institutional venues of La Biennale (Giardini and Arsenale). Submit your ideas HERE by October 30, 2015.

Platform for Architecture + Research (PAR) has reinterpreted the idea of "courtyard housing" with a 930-foot-tall "stack of individual houses" envisioned for a site on Los Angeles' Wilshire Boulevard. Named "Wilshire Tower," the conceptual skyscraper is one of many radical proposals being unveiled at the A+D Museum's ongoing “Shelter: Rethinking How We Live in Los Angeles” exhibition that exploring new forms of housing for Los Angeles.

As we head boldly towards a more confident tomorrow, architects, designers and builders will play a crucial role in this progression and there is a strong need for these stakeholders to come together and lay out the vision on moving this industry to a level where India is able to retain its heritage architecture in structures to be built and thereby create an identity of its own on the global platform.

Vo Trong Nghia Architects has begun work on FPT University Ho Chi Minh City, a building set to begin a renewal of the natural landscape previously destroyed by mass development. In the city of Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, only 0.25% of the city is covered in greenery, contributing to environmental stress on its infrastructure - frequent energy shortages, increased pollution, and rising temperatures are more common as the city grows.
