The construction of Tachikawa General Hospital marked the relocation of an advanced healthcare facility that reimagined the original architecture in a contemporary context. Takenaka Corporation, one of Japan's most renowned construction firms, oversaw the architectural design and the project's completion.

The hospital comprises two buildings arranged along a central axis that divides patient wards and clinic facilities through color-coded zones. The design sought to create a harmonious atmosphere by incorporating colors from the natural landscape surrounding the project. Sellex BILDU Modular Benches finished using a combination of oak and leather upholstery were chosen to equip the project's waiting rooms.

The design allows armrests and extension tables to be conveniently positioned at any point on the bench. The benches' frames are made of lacquered aluminum, combined with oak wood, with an option to have upholstered seats.
