Tête de Pont is a winning competition entry by Josep Lluís Mateo of Mateo Arquitectura that is a remodeling of the river Adour in Bayonne, France. The solution of the design marks a new threshold for the approach to the old town that begins the process of urban renewal on the banks of Adour between the city center and the estuary.

This prize winning proposal for the Azienda Elettrica Ticinese (AET) Headquarters in Monte Carasso, Switzerland was submitted by architect Dario Franchini. In this project the goal of the administrative building is to address the avant-garde, sustainable, and future features of the architecture on the site as an urban condition. The project is conceived of in two phases. Phase One is a three storey administrative building of 2,000 sqm. Phase Two is a tower of 15,000 cubic meters.

V Tower is a residential high rise positioned atop of a base of retail, restaurant, cafe, and parking designed by Meridian 105 Architecture. The tower provides an urban park for the neighborhood in Denver, Colorado while establishing a new ground plane for street-life to develop at the site.

Departing from what is already exists in the mangrove forest of Jakarta, the Agung Sedayu Center rises out of the natural habitat as an iconic volume that takes in the breathtaking views of the forest. The Agung Sedayu Center is an office building for Jakarta, Indonesia by Agung Mahaputra, Andika Priya Utama, Arief Aditya Putra, Dely Hamzah, Nidia Safiana, and Rahadi Utomo.

Sopot Business Centre by Urbane Tehnike won 1st prize in the competition for the business complex project in the center of Novi Zagreb, Zagreb, Croatia. The concept is for the design of a simple glass cube, structured within the surface of prisms which is visually manipulated by its context. From the urban planning point of view, the cube is derived from the constant movement along the avenues and the silhouette of the city beyond.

The Boston Society of Architects/AIA announced the winner of the 2010 Harleston Parker Medal as the Cambridge Public Library by William Rawn Associates Architects and Ann Beha Architects. Each year, the Boston Society of Architects (BSA) and the City of Boston award the Harleston Parker Medal to “the single most beautiful” building or structure built in the Greater Boston area over the past 10 years.
