The Complete City: Filled In - A Design Competition To Test and Visualize Housing Policy in Portland, Maine.

Diverse housing, affordable housing, and workforce housing are pressing needs in Portland, Maine.  Recent changes in the city’s ReCode initiative have expanded the potential for Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) to help meet those needs.

So long as certain requirements can be met, Portland now allows the creation of up to two ADUs on any residential lot in the city.
