BLTa 2016 Student Design Competition

BLT Architects is holding its 2016 Student Design Competition for undergraduate and graduate architecture students enrolled in an architectural program at an NAAB or CACB accredited school during the 2016 academic year. The competition carries a first place prize of a paid internship at the architectural and interior design firm in the summer of 2017 and $1000.

The mission of the competition is to create a mixed use development on a key underutilized riverfront site in the business district of one of Philadelphia’s many famous neighborhoods. Truly a “gateway site” between Center City Philadelphia and the neighborhoods and suburbs that lie to the northwest along the Schuylkill River, the site also lies at the foot of a unique historic bridge which is the connection point across the river for joggers and bikers on the trails on both sides of the river leading out from Center City.
