The planetarium and science center project by Gillot + Givry is designed to be a strong image in the urban context of the city of Chalet-a-Gobet, Switzerland. Creating harmony with existing features and asserting the presence of an exceptional project do not necessarily go hand in hand but that does not mean that these two principles are mutually opposed. In line with the traditional large frameworks used locally, the wooden structures used here will provide a contemporary feel. The silhouettes of these large roof structures are reminiscent of the universal figures of architecture with cosmic dimensions.
