Two overarching factors feed into the overarching principle of urban design: the vicinity of the terrain to a traffic-intensive street axis and the western railway line and the requirement for a high density of the resulting building. In response, Delugan Meissl Associated Architects, which won the competition for this urban master plan, characterized the new interpretation of the historic district as a compact block structure, which will enter into a dialogue with their environment and be well-connected with the surrounding urban fabric and its functional characteristics. The configuration and architecture of the buildings form a compact formulation, an open structure that responds in a consistent manner to the existing circumstances and constitutes a clear implementation of forming a high degree of identity. A north-south-oriented, central boulevard runs through the main axis of the quarter. At both ends, it expands to a space-like situation of great appeal to interweave urban as well as functionally in a consistent manner with the surrounding urban space. Groups are composed of three buildings for the new quarter. All sides by a diverse network of trails surrounded the building hofförmig formulated the production of compact groups repeat at the same time opening that characterizes the overall concept of the ensemble.
