Designed by architect Natália Lemos for CasaCor Rio 2024, the "Casa Raízes do Cerrado" studio was inspired by the Brazilian Cerrado, as was the "Varanda Raízes," developed by Horto Girassol. Casa Raízes do Cerrado is a 178-square-meter residential studio—designed by architect Natália Lemos for CasaCor Rio 2024, with landscaping by the duo Maira Duarte and Kaio Duarte from Horto Girassol—where time seems to slow down, inviting us to dive deep into our origins. This space is not merely an aesthetic celebration, but a reconnection with the essence of the earth and the ancestry that shapes who we are. Inspired by the vastness of the Cerrado of Minas Gerais, the house translates childhood memories, when running through the red earth and among the twisted vegetation was more than just play—it was a dance with nature, a silent conversation with ancestors.
