Text description provided by the architects. The Visitor Reception Center for the Caminito del Rey is situated on a promontory overlooking the Guadalhorce Reservoir, right on the edge of the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes Natural Area. This facility, along with a transportation hub, is located equidistant from both the entrance and exit of the Caminito del Rey. The building is designed to serve as the welcoming point for visitors to the famous trail. It centralizes parking and organizes transportation within the protected area, which is operated exclusively by bus. The Visitor Reception Center spans approximately 550 m² and is designed to provide an educational introduction to the Caminito, showcasing the history of the site as well as the extraordinary archaeological, botanical, geological, and anthropological heritage of the region.
