Text description provided by the architects. The Park Royal Cancún Hotel is located at km 12 of Kukulcán Boulevard in the Cancún hotel zone, across from the La Isla shopping center. This area was once an archaeological site known as “El Rey,” an important ceremonial center that reached its peak during the Postclassic period (1250-1521). Its architectural style resembles that of sites such as Tulum, Xel-Há, and El Meco. This complex consists of 16 structures, two plazas, and two causeways.
