Text description provided by the architects. We knew that the success of the project would depend on intervening as little as possible with the existing structure. Therefore, we felt it was appropriate to add a volume for the bedrooms with a material tectonics that contrasted with the existing building, stepping outside the inherent logic of this clearly neighborhood-style house.
