As a result of the research project MuWo - Women in Spanish (Post)Modern Architectural Culture (1965–2000), the interactive digital map of architecture designed by women in Spain was launched, aiming to study and bring visibility to women's work in architecture. As Myriam Goluboff Scheps is one of these architects, we set out to explore her history, ideals, and philosophy through one of her most recognized works: the open-air swimming pools for the Diputación de A Coruña.
Having lived in Galicia for several years, Myriam Goluboff was born in Buenos Aires around 1935 and studied architecture at the University of Buenos Aires. After starting her professional and teaching career in Argentina and participating in various competitions—such as those for the Law Courts of Viedma and General Roca alongside Rodolfo Makodobsky—she decided to move to A Coruña in 1975 with her husband, the architect Mario Soto. There, she validated her degree and combined teaching, literary writing, and professional practice.
