Sorocaba-based startup creates renewable energy micro-power plant

Achieving greater independence in energy generation is one way to offset rising electricity bills. Consequently, small-scale renewable energy systems are becoming increasingly common. In Sorocaba, in the state of São Paulo, the startup Vida Maker has developed a micro-power plant that can be powered by solar panels, wind energy, and hydroelectric generators.

Operating as a generator, the system can serve as a power source for electronics, household appliances, and lighting.

“The tool is completely practical, user-friendly, and requires no prior knowledge of solar energy. Users only need to consult the instruction manual. It is essentially portable electricity. I am very surprised by the strong demand for the product, which we have just validated with the Sorocaba Technology Park,” says Leandro Batista, project manager at Vida Maker.

Potential applications cited by the company include use in motorhomes and remote areas during field research. “With this equipment, it is possible to power a mobile clinic,” Batista notes.

Testing

The micro-power plant, named Genisis, has already been tested, approved, and recently launched on the market. In fact, a model was installed at the Sorocaba Technology Park (PTS) – a facility designed to accommodate technology companies, innovation projects, and research and educational institutions.

At the PTS, the technology was further refined, paving the way for other projects by Vida Maker. The startup has also developed a fully electric vehicle, an app for reporting domestic violence against women, and a charging kiosk for mobile phones and electronics.
