Academia has much to contribute to the fields of architecture and urbanism. Inspiring visions emerge through its research and proposals, sparking critical debates on how we perceive, occupy, and design the built environment. With this in mind, we hold an annual call for final graduation projects open to all Portuguese-speaking countries to showcase a panorama of themes and projects that we believe stood out over the past year.
The selection of these projects is based on those we consider most well-developed, graphically compelling, and whose chosen themes we find thought-provoking and timely for a final thesis, regardless of the chosen approach, scale, or program. Beyond simply delivering a satisfactory design, we believe that a graduation project (TCC/TFG)—by condensing a student's efforts during their transition from academia to professional life (while, it must be noted, still remaining part of their academic journey)—should raise questions and stimulate discussion about the proposed topic.
In this edition, we received a total of 296 proposals:
The {CURA} program will award the authors of the selected projects with scholarships for the complete Método {CURA} course, which will be held virtually.
It is worth noting that submissions that did not comply with the rules or lacked sufficient material for evaluation were disqualified. We thank all the students who submitted their designs and wish them the best of luck in their professional careers!
