Based in Mendoza, Argentina, Estudio Reynals was founded in 2018 by partners and sisters Laia and Cristina Reynals, two architecture and design professionals.
Laia Reynals graduated with a degree in architecture in 2007 from the Universidad de Mendoza, Argentina. Meanwhile, Cristina Reynals studied industrial design at the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, also in Mendoza. Driven by their family's strong Catalan roots, they eventually moved to Barcelona, where they both specialized at the ELISAVA school. The architect completed a master's degree in Intervention and Restoration of Architectural Heritage, while the industrial designer specialized in Interior Design - Private Perimeters. Since then, the sisters' lives have revolved around Barcelona and Mendoza, and both consider themselves citizens of both places.
