ArquiCast – The Architecture and Urbanism Podcast – is a project born from the desire of two architects and professors to use this media format to create original content. Adilson and Rapha have always been avid podcast listeners and noticed a gap in the Brazilian podosphere regarding architecture and city-related topics. In 2017, Aline joined the team, strengthening the show's permanent hosting panel.
You can subscribe for free via apps and aggregators that receive content updates. In our case, we release a new episode every two weeks, which can be accessed on our website and now also on Spotify.
In 2019, ArquiCast will turn three years old, and its audience continues to grow and consolidate. Today, they have over 60 released episodes, including interviews, conversations with specialists, book and movie reviews, along with plenty of humor and a lighthearted tone—excellent informative entertainment to enjoy during all-nighters or on the bus ride to college.
Now, every month, an episode will be dedicated to an ArchDaily publication. On their Instagram profile, you can suggest topics and vote in polls. To kick things off, the team sent us a list of three episodes produced prior to the partnership.

Adilson Amaral - Architect and Urban Planner with a degree from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) and a Master's degree in Urbanism from PROURB/UFRJ. As an architect, he has worked at several firms, in addition to developing school projects for the FIRJAN/SESI System. He is one of the founders of ArquiCast and has also been a professor of Architectural History, Theory, and Urban Design at the Juiz de Fora Higher Education Center (CES/JF) since 2013.
Aline Cruz - PhD candidate in Urbanism and CAPES researcher at PROURB/UFRJ, where she studies innovative design teaching methodologies; she holds a Master's degree in Urbanism from the same program (2006) and a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from UFJF (2003). For 11 years, she has taught urban design at different scales and has developed numerous architectural and urban planning projects through her own firm and with partners.
Raphael Rodrigues - Architect with a Master's degree in Urbanism from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). A partner at OMNI Arquitetura Comercial and co-founder of ArquiCast, he also teaches Theory and History, Architectural, Urban, and Landscape Design at the Juiz de Fora Higher Education Center (CES/JF).
