In the wake of the social crisis unfolding in Chile, ArchDaily speaks with urban and territorial specialists to understand its impact on our cities. On this occasion, we talk with architect Olga Segovia, an architect at SUR - Corporación de Estudios Sociales y Educación and coordinator of the Red Latinoamericana de Hábitat.

Among the various topics Segovia addresses in this interview, the architect reflects on the research and academic production that examined multidimensional inequality in Chile before the social outbreak. "It is not that we did not know [about inequality]. That is a myth. It was known. It is one thing to know, and another to acknowledge it and take action," she states.
