Post-conflict in Colombia, Antonio Yemail's pavilion for the National Museum of Historical Memory

The armed conflict in Colombia has left a mark through the experience of every Colombian—each one unique, none more or less significant than the other. The National Museum of Historical Memory commissioned Antonio Yemail and an interdisciplinary team to physically manifest its narrative through the impact on land, water, and the body.

Part of the peace agreements between the previous government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) included creating a memory museum and a truth commission, alongside the pre-existing National Center for Historical Memory (CNMH), which organized the International Architectural Design Competition for the National Museum of Memory, won by MGP + estudio.entresitio. However, despite being fully designed, the project has not yet been realized due to political circumstances and remains on hold. Nonetheless, this did not stop the CNMH from materializing its manifesto.
