Homes, studios, and private apartments you can visit during Open House Buenos Aires 2019

Have you ever been curious to see inside someone else's home? With this tagline, Open House Buenos Aires has announced the details of its seventh edition, an invitation and a unique opportunity to rediscover both the architecture of Buenos Aires and its stories and residents. Like every year, this festival offers free admission to numerous architecturally significant buildings that are normally closed to the public. Over the weekend of November 9 and 10, more than 140 buildings will open their doors, making the festival one of the year's most important cultural events.

Open House is an event founded in London in 1992, where its founder, Victoria Thornton, initially set out to bring contemporary architecture closer to the city's residents. Following its success, the event became an annual occurrence and has since been replicated in more than 45 cities. In Argentina, it has been organized in Buenos Aires by the non-profit organization "CoHabitarUrbano" since 2013, making it the first host city in Latin America.

In this edition, only 44 sites require prior registration, while nearly 100 buildings are free to access on a first-come, first-served basis. All information regarding participating works and guidelines for attending the event can be found on the festival's website or social media channels.
