Conéntrico is an International Architecture and Design Festival that proposes reflecting on the city of Logroño (Spain) by revitalizing underutilized public spaces. Its latest edition, Conéntrico 04, takes place between April 27 and May 1, 2018, in Logroño's Historic Center. The festival invites visitors to explore the city through installations, exhibitions, meetings, activities, and performances that connect venues, squares, streets, courtyards, and hidden spaces that typically go unnoticed in daily life. Blurarquitectura intervenes in the Santiago Parish with a bench and a tree, offering a new perspective on the space.

For Conéntrico 04, an intervention has been created in a new venue for the festival: the area surrounding the Church of Santiago, in the city's historic center. The project invites visitors to discover these surroundings through a fragmented installation, creating a route designed to showcase the most significant urban spaces around the Santiago Parish.

Five urban spaces were selected: the intersection of Calle Barriocepo and Travesía Excuevas, the Portal de Santiago, the Pilgrim's Fountain at Plaza de la Oca, the terrace overlooking Ebro Park, and the remains of the old city wall in Plazuela Alfonso de Salazar. These five locations will feature five objects designed as urban furniture. Derived from a pentagon, the shape is split into five parts, each finding its own location.

Constructed from plywood panels, each object consists of a bench and a tree. The bench heights vary depending on the object's location, while native tree species provide shade. The intervention revolves around a single premise: local tree varieties casting shifting shadows throughout the day, and benches at different heights—creating a place with a tree, to sit in its shade.

Location: Surrounding area of the Church of Santiago, Calle Barriocepo 8 and vicinity.
