The main roof features a dramatic, undulating form that mimics rolling mountain ranges. Natural light pours through skylights into the departure hall and security screening area. On the airside, the concourses mirror the winding Yantai coastline, echoing the geometry of the main roof. Along the main passenger circulation paths, skylights provide intuitive wayfinding through natural light.
The Phase II expansion of Yantai Airport will support the rapidly growing demand for air transportation driven by the socio-economic development of Shandong Province, Yantai City, and surrounding regions.
