Exhibition designed by Isay Weinfeld at FuoriSalone to feature panels with Portobello surfaces

Portobello will have a special presence during the 2022 edition of FuoriSalone. Held in parallel with Salone del Mobile in Milan, the program brings together installations and exhibitions from companies and professionals from around the world in the charming Italian city from June 6 to 13. The brand is one of the main sponsors of the architectural space designed by renowned Brazilian architect Isay Weinfeld, which is part of the Design Re-Generation exhibition, organized by the iconic magazine Interni and one of the most significant events at FuoriSalone.

The installation is titled Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, the title of a song from the 1964 Walt Disney film Mary Poppins. To create the space, the architect curated a selection of works from their personal references and affective, sensory, and creative memories, which have served as inspiration over the years. These include Le Corbusier’s Villa Savoye architectural project, the song "Desde que o Samba é Samba" by João Gilberto, and Lars von Trier’s film Melancholia.
