2nd International Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism Lima and Callao BIALIMA 2023

The second edition of the International Architecture and Urbanism Biennial returns as an in-person event, taking place in the historic centers of Lima and Callao.

The world has just emerged from a pandemic that, in our country, exposed the collapse of most urban centers, highlighting the urgent need to rethink city models and current construction methods. Consequently, to address these issues and needs while proposing solutions for urban conditions, the second International Architecture and Urbanism Biennial of Lima and Callao (BiaLiMA 2023) will take place from October 7 to 13.

This in-person event will be held in the Historic Center of Lima and Callao under the theme "LIMA: How to Recompose a City?" It has two primary objectives: to showcase urban and architectural proposals that help reformulate or improve precarious and insufficient living conditions, fostering a city that is less exclusionary and more generous; and to help identify new paradigms for rethinking the future of a metropolis like Lima following crises marked by the pandemic, climate change, natural disasters, and growth disconnected from notions of equity and planning.
