Aleph is the first international association dedicated to the study of form, validated by the Faculty of Architecture, Design, and Urbanism at the University of Buenos Aires and the Institute of Human Spatiality. Founded on August 8, 2018, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Aleph aims to promote the study and research of form within the fields of architecture, art, urbanism, design, and any other discipline with an interest in the subject.
In line with this objective, the first International Congress of Morphology is being held this year. It focuses on the branches of General (abstract) Morphology, Specific Morphologies (architectural, art, and design morphology), as well as Contextual and Urban morphologies. This event is organized by the Latin American Association for the Study of Form (ALEPH) and hosted by the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU) in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
The congress will take place from November 7 to 9 and is framed within the context of Latin American design practice, where research and advancements relevant to the design disciplines will be shared.
