Collective Construction Workshop - Rural Community Market in Tanzania

This workshop is part of a broader initiative launched in 2018 to introduce sustainable building materials to an area significantly affected by deforestation due to fired-brick production. Based in Maji Moto, Tanzania, the project aims to bridge environmental awareness with community resilience.

The Project

As part of this initiative, the rural community market is a community infrastructure project designed to serve two purposes: meeting community needs and raising awareness about the use of CSEB (Compressed Stabilized Earth Blocks).
