Exploraciones Urbanas is a workshop that invites reflection on how to transform the contemporary city through dialogues between cities. The proposal aims to bring together faculty and students from various Argentine universities to share knowledge regarding common issues and challenges, while creating a space for reflection on approaches to urban intervention.
The workshop proposes rethinking how we inhabit and build our cities through design-based intervention studies on urban fragments. It also seeks to share academic experiences regarding the teaching of urbanism in architecture programs, with the goal of improving academic practice and the discussion surrounding what should be brought into the classroom for future architects. Topics to be addressed include mobility, public space, urban models, and forms of residence in the contemporary city, among others.
