Focusing on the selection of five architectural projects, the state government launched the second stage of the Iconicidades program on April 25. The initiative will select the best proposals for transforming public spaces into hubs for the creative economy.
In the first stage, held last September, the participating municipalities were selected: Pelotas, Rio Grande, Santa Maria, Cachoeirinha, and São Leopoldo. Now, the winners will have their projects funded by the state. The goal is to revitalize historic buildings, combining culture, tradition, and entrepreneurship in the new use of these properties.
The calls for entries will be released in a staggered manner, published between Monday, April 25, and May 11. The rules and progress of the competitions can be followed via the website www.rs.gov.br/iconicidades-como-participar-dos-concursos
