ELEA 2026: Latin American Meeting of Architecture Students in Colombia

The Latin American city is built upon fragments: fragments of landscape, memory, construction knowledge, and modes of habitation that remain present, even if they often go unnoticed. In Manizales—a city shaped by its steep terrain, risk, adaptation, and the constant transformation of its territory—these fragments manifest with particular intensity.

Under the theme "Latent Fragments," the 38th Latin American Meeting of Architecture Students (ELEA) proposes a reflection on those elements that have remained active in the construction of our cities and continue to influence how we inhabit Latin America. Based on this premise, the event invites participants to question how we perceive our environment and how we can redefine the landscapes, memories, and knowledge that shape our urban realities.
