Collaborative Housing in Colombia
Myths, Legends, and Dreams
"Collaborative Housing in Colombia: Myths, Legends, and Dreams" is a space to discuss the current housing crisis in Colombia and how alternative collective ways of living can diversify possibilities for those aspiring to live differently. Through lectures with international experts and a public exhibition, the event explores the myths surrounding this issue, the collaborative models that challenge the speculative notion of housing as "living legends" in Latin America and the world, and the potential dreams for collaborative housing in Colombia.
Myths: Other ways of explaining the reality of housing
A myth, in one of its common meanings, refers to a "thing to which qualities or excellences are attributed that it does not possess" (RAE, 2026). Within the framework of this exhibition, this definition allows us to unveil the deep-seated system of beliefs and social or cultural practices based on misinterpreted or distorted premises.
