A transdisciplinary piece constructed from essayistic fragments, cartographic exercises, and affective displacements. The work begins with the following questions: What is a map? What is the "outside" really? Can paths be traced from desire?
By intersecting María Luisa Puga’s Mexico City (DF) with the artist’s own experience of inhabiting the city, the third session of donde caben los perros examines the visible and invisible infrastructures that shape movement, the body, and the concept of collectivity. Through a blend of data, intuition, and urban fiction, the performance tests ways to break out of an intimate orbit to speak simultaneously about the self and the collective body.
donde caben los perros is a series of performative literature about Mexico City. The first edition invoked the poetry of Efraín Huerta to rethink the city through its cracks, shadows, and contradictions. In this second edition, the novel Pánico o peligro [Panic or Danger], published by María Luisa Puga in 1983, serves as the starting point for exploring the subjectivity of the contemporary inhabitant of CDMX.
