Text description provided by the architects. A visit to the ruins of Chan Chan years ago allowed me to contemplate the details of this pre-Hispanic architecture, and how spatial design at that time was conscious of expressing its culture. The earthen latticework simulating the nets of Chimú fishermen completely captured my attention, and I knew that at some point I would use them in a project.
