Photographer and artist Morris Lum was born in Trinidad to an immigrant family and is currently based in Toronto, Canada, where he teaches at the University of Toronto’s John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design. Lum’s work explores the transition and transformation of Chinese-Canadian communities through photography, installation, and documentary practices. Over the past five years, his lens has captured the shifting Chinese neighborhoods in several North American cities, including Vancouver, San Francisco, Calgary, Toronto, Edmonton, Victoria, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Montreal, and Halifax.
