Text description provided by the architects. Parteluz is the materialization of a wooden artifact designed with multiple purposes. First, it separates two spaces: a reception area for the students of this yoga studio, and the main room where classes are held. Second, it serves as a double-sided piece of furniture to store the equipment needed for different activities, integrating lockers, shoe racks, mat storage, a planter, a sink, a massage table, a waiting bench, and chairs. Third, and perhaps most importantly, it visually and luminously unifies the entire space. This 11-meter-long element acts as the living core of the studio's activity, while also concealing building systems and housing the overall lighting for both rooms.
