Text description provided by the architects. The Eno Tokio restaurant reaffirms its mission of "building community" through an intimate, simple space imbued with the nostalgic aura of a modern archaeology. By peeling back layers of materials, the design uncovers the original finishes of the premises, offering a discrete glimpse into Mexico's past. Eno Tokio is located in the Zona Rosa, one of Mexico City's most tourist-heavy areas. Visitors to this neighborhood often look back at its modernist past with nostalgia, catching glimpses of it through the architectural cues of this section of Colonia Juárez, situated so close to the ever-changing Paseo de la Reforma Avenue.
