Located in Madrid's Malasaña neighborhood, this small apartment of barely 30 square meters (323 square feet) possessed all the intangibles and potential to become a fantastic home. Being on the top floor of a century-old building, the space enjoyed natural light through a reasonably wide interior courtyard. On the street-facing facade, it only had a couple of small openings close to the ceiling, situated above the building's pitched roof. An attic space extended beneath this roof, but it was very low, difficult to access, and featured only a small skylight.
