Text description provided by the architects. The story of EME House is born from a memory and a desire. The memory of Manuel, its owner and a lover of design and cooking, who, upon visiting the apartment in the center of Madrid for the first time, felt as if he had already lived in a similar place, with a related spirit but in another time. And the desire to imagine himself reading on a Sunday in the living room, with light streaming through the large windows, framing views of the Plaza Mayor, Toledo Street, the Plaza de Puerta Cerrada, and the Collegiate Church of San Isidro el Real, landmarks of historic Madrid.
