Screening of the documentary “Les Matérialistes” in Barcelona

Materials 2050: Reuse and Recycle

Arquitectura en Corto invites you to the screening of the short film Les Matérialistes, which will take place on Wednesday, March 25, at 7:00 PM at the Interni Onesti space (Diputació, 299, Barcelona). What construction materials will be used in 2050? Directors Jonathan Lapalme and Meggan Collins define Les Matérialistes as a docufiction film that blends current data with future projections to spark a collective reflection on the shift in model required to transition toward a circular economy and carbon neutrality. Following the screening, three architects who are driving this change from distinct yet complementary perspectives will speak: Pol Miret, co-founder of Recursos Urbans, a cooperative that promotes the reuse of pre-existing materials in new projects; Felipe Pich-Aguilera, co-founder of PichArchitects, who advocates for the circular economy and the reduction of the carbon footprint of conventional materials; and Jade Serra, partner at Slow Studio, which builds zero-impact architecture using natural and decarbonized materials.
